Ori
A Yoruba poem says:
“Ori pele ori.
Atete niran.
Atete gbeni-k-orisà.
Ko s’orisà tii da-nii gbe.
Leyin ori eni” *
“Hallo ori
who quickly bless a person before any other orisà.
There is no deity that can bless a person without the cooperation of the ori”.*
Yoruba culture teaches us that the most important part of a person is Ori, our head, the place where our intellect and essence are.
Ori is the destination we chose before we were born.
Ori is what we potentially are and what we choose to be every day of our lives.
We can imagine Ori as our head and Exú as our feet.
A life of success and satisfaction depends on them.
We will understand this and we will be happy.
Ò, Gb'Orí Ò!
