Marcelo De Moura, known in candomblé as Pai Odé, dedicated his whole life to the Orixás. After completing his studies at the University of São Paulo, graduating in history, he founded his own "Terreiro", Ilé Alaketu Asé Ode Tolá, and has since guided his community. In 1995 he was invited to represent Brazilian culture and magic at the Latin American Festival in Milan. Since then, he has also taken the word of the Orixás to Italy and around Europe and the USA. The meaning behind our logo :

In the logo there are an elephant, a bow and an arrow and a lance and a hook: they all represent the orixá Erinlé which is the patron of the house. The pieces of art representing the Orixás published on this website are made by Lauryen Granato, a Brazilian artist who has been living in Nothern Italy for more than 20 years. Lauryen was born in the Candomblé and therefore could breath its culture since the first day of her life. Her father was a painter, whose work was mainly focused on the sacred art too. It was only after her father’s death that Lauryen let her artistic vein emerge and gave continuation to her father’s heritage, although in the different field of sculptures. We thank her for kindly allow us to use her miniatures.
