Obá

The Obá cult comes from the Oba River region, which runs through the states of Oyo and Osun, in Nigeria.

She is an odé, a hunter, and lives in the forest, in solitude.

She was Xango's first wife.

Her natural element is fire.

Her symbols are the bow, the arrows and the shield, while her colors are orange and red.

Obá embodies the vehement waters of the rivers: she is nature becoming tumultuous.

She is the leader of the elekoo communities: type of societies that are entirely feminine.

Being very energetic and fearless, she is considered stronger than many male orixxás.

Obá is a warrior, but she is very introspective.

She represents unrequited feelings, love as a form of suffering.

Oba Sire!
